EBON CAKES COOKIES PIES

Gone are the days when homemade is about the only choice available! Now the situation is the reverse - homemade is difficult to find! Everything is ready-made or commercially made. It is so much a part of our lifestyle in Singapore that it is possible that the current generation will never know the joys of simple homemade fare, especially in the area of cakes, cookies and pies.

However, lately there seems to be a trend towards homemade foodfare as more homebakers join in making their specialties available via the internet. I have been selling my goodies from home for quite a while already and have now added a website so as to reach more people, to give them a wider choice.

It all started with cheesecakes about 20 years. Through the years, I perfected my recipe and today the cheesecake, plain or with blueberry topping is just simply delicious, and is probably the freshest baked cheesecake you can find in town as I only bake upon orders.

The other goodies including fruitcakes, cookies and pies came about because I couldn't find such stuff to my taste in the market. Give them a try and you may also like these versions I make. My goodies are not commercialised in the sense that they are not mass-produced and making them involves a lot of work and time. But they are worth it because when you eat them you know they have been specifically made for you, and that they are not just some ready-made stuff sitting on the shelves, waiting for someone to come along and buy them.

I work alone, and all cakes are baked individually. The pies are freshly made to order and cookies are individually hand-rolled by me. It is all very labour intensive but I am reluctant to delegate such work to hired hands who may not be as passionate about achieving certain quality.

That quality, freshness and the joys of homemade's best are what I am committed to deliver to you.

As mine is a one-person set-up, I seek your understanding in the following:
1. Please place your orders as early as possible to ensure you get your orders, and to allow me more time to execute the orders.
2. The packaging is simple and functional to minimise adding waste to our ecosystem.
3. Except for the fondant icing decorated fruitcakes, decorations for other cakes and pies are minimal so as to allow you to enjoy fully the simple pure taste of the food.
