I didn't like biting into half empty pies so I have made these chicken pies fully stuffed with delicious chicken filling in short pastry. The pastry does not puff up so much as to create empty space in the pie, making it look half-filled!
The filling is cooked using fresh chicken meat, potatoes, carrots, green peas, button mushrooms, onions, herbs and cream. I think you may like these pies made to your order only.
There is a hint of cheese in the crust pastry. These pies stay crusty for a longer time than those using the more oily puff pastry. They can be warmed up in the oven toaster to give you a scrumptious warm snack or meal.
